SEGA’s Medieval II Total War: Kingdoms – Britannia is an expansion pack for the base game Medieval II Total War. Britannia takes place in the British Isles during the medieval period, where players can take control of one of the five factions vying for dominance: England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and Norway.

• England: Led by King Edward Longshanks, England is a powerful faction with strong infantry and capable archers. Their longbows are a formidable weapon that can decimate enemy units from afar.
• Scotland: Under the command of King William Wallace, Scotland specializes in guerilla warfare tactics and have access to powerful Highland charges. Their hero units, such as William Wallace and Robert the Bruce, can rally their troops and inspire them in combat.
• Wales: Led by Llywelyn ap Gruffydd, Wales is a faction heavily focused on cavalry charges and guerilla warfare. They also have access to longbowmen, but suffer from a lack of heavy infantry.
• Ireland: Under King Brian O’Neill’s leadership, Ireland has access to strong spear units and light cavalry. They also excel at sea warfare as their fleets are among the best in the game.
• Norway: King Harald Hardrada leads Norway’s fearsome army of Viking raiders. They specialize in shock cavalry and fierce axe-wielding infantry known as Huscarls.

The expansion adds new campaigns that allow players to experience some of the most famous battles of medieval Britain, such as the Battle of Sterling Bridge and Battle of Hastings. Additionally, Kingdoms – Britannia offers an improved UI, new detailed models for units and buildings, and AI tweaks that make combat more engaging.
